He was a member of the Adams Chapel Baptist Church in Dresden,TN and had been a mechanic for the former Parker's Service Station in Fulton,KY. He had lived in this area most of his life.
He is survived by his wife - Marilyn (Phillips) Stephenson of Fulton,KY, 2 sons: Jamie Stephenson of Fulton,KY and Ricky Stephenson of South Fulton, TN. A daughter- Mary Jane Gholson of Union City, TN, an adopted son - James Harrison of Fulton,KY, 4 step sons: Kenneth Phillips & Waylon Gallimore, both of McKenzie, TN, Cecil Bailey &
Michael Bailey both of Fulton, KY. A step daughter - Tina Harrison of Moscow, KY, and 12 grandchildren. 2 brothers: Robert Stephenson and Joe Stephenson, both of Union City, TN, 6 sisters: Judy Belarmine
of Turlock, CA, Barbara Wetzel, Joan Stephenson & Linda Vibbett, all of Union City, TN , Lori Stephenson of Clinton, KY and Kathrine Rothman of South Fulton, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Earnest Raymond Stephenson and Betty Jean (Newcomb) Stephenson and 2 brothers.
