Mr. Robert Glynn Perry, age 84, of Fulton died September 7, 2014 at the home of his granddaughter in Union City, TN.
He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and had retired in 1994
from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Union City with 24 years of
service where he worked in the maintenance department as a pipefitter.
He was also a former employee of the Illinois Central Railroad for 20 yrs. in maintenance and was a member of the Roberts Lodge # 172 in Fulton. He had lived in this area all of his life.
He is survived by his wife Alta Lee Holmes Perry of Fulton, whom he
married March 3, 1951; two daughters Donna Glynn Tidwell of Nashville,
TN and Melissa Carole House of Hernando, MS and a son Tim W. Perry
of South Fulton, TN; thirteen grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. A sister Joyce Williams of Grand Junction,Colorado and a brother Chris "Buddy" Perry of Garland, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents Sarah Estella (Ballard)
and Tommy Voyd Perry, a daughter Teressa Ann Thomas, a sister
Martha Mansfield, a brother Tommy Perry and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wed., Sept. 10 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Tuesday and anytime Wed. until the funeral hour. A Masonic service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
