Mr. Robert Lee Smith, age 85, of South Fulton,TN died August 12,2010 at his home.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a veteran who had
served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years at the end of World War II. He was a employee of Kentucky Utilities for 32 years and retired as Superintendent of Construction for the Western Division.
He is survived by his six children Peggy "Lee" Clark of Lexington,KY, Tony Smith (Debbie) of Dawson Springs,KY, Jeanne Lamb (Mike) of Paris, TN, Pam Smith of Union City, TN, Joe Deweese of Union City, TN, Don Deweese (Faythe) of Summerville, SC; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild , 2 brothers Carl
Smith of Paducah, KY and Farris Junior Smith of Martin, TN, and a
sister in law Sarah Lynn Collins (Jeff) of South Fulton,TN.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggie Ann(Richardson) Smith and his parents Eva and Farris Smith, an infant son Michael Lynn Smith and a sister Nancy Smith Pate.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, Aug. 15 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon Sunday until the funeral hour.
