Steve Wilkerson

Mr. Steve Wilkerson, age 54, of Macon, GA and formerly of South Fulton, TN died November 5, 2011 at his home.
He graduated from South Fulton High School in 1975 and the
University of Tennessee at Martin in 1981. He was the director of sales with WMGT-TV station in Macon, GA and he enjoyed snow skiing and was an avid golfer.
Steve's extensive career started at WKYT in Lexington, KY. He was a Local Sales Manager at WHTM in
Harrisburg before going to Viacom at WLFL in Raleigh and WFBS in Miami. Steve then became General Sales Manager at WTOG in Tampa and KPIX in San Francisco. He was also GSM at WATL in Atlanta, KDVR in Denver and KSEE in Fresno.
Steve moved to Macon in March of 2010 and joined the 41 NBC family. His passion for the job and the industry were second to none. He loved what he did and did it with a touch of class.
He is survived by his mother Nellie (Hamblen) Wilkerson of Union City,TN.
He was preceded in death by his father Baker Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 10 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Hickman City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-7 pm on Wednesday.
