Mrs. Susan Elaine Nelson died February 3, 2010 at her home in South Fulton, TN.
She was a member of the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fulton, KY and was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse who had been the head nurse for Dr. Alvin Hinders. She was currently employed by the Fulton Independent
School District as an instructional assistant. She was a professional Grandma and was an active participant of the TCMO Christmas Auction,and was a softball coach for the Red Bandits special needs team in Martin, TN.
She is survived by her husband Jim Nelson of South Fulton, TN;
2 daughters and sons in law Sondra and Jason Gibbs of Fulton, KY and Stacey and Lee Ussery of Martin, TN and a son and daughter
in law Jim and Renee Nelson of Milan, TN. Her mother Mildred
(Grove) Fazenbaker of Frostburg, Maryland; 2 brothes Roger
Fazenbaker of Westernport, MD and David Fazenbaker of Keyser,
West Virginia; 2 sisters Becky Kelly of Calhoun, Georgia & Norma
Dunwody of Culpepper, Virginia. Also 6 grandchildren: Becca Ussery,Sam Gibbs, Jack Nelson, Matthew Nelson, Max Gibbs and Claire Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her father Roger Fazenbaker and a
grandson Jake Gibbs.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at the St. Edwards Catholic Church.
Interment will be in the Union Cemetery and visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Friday.
