He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
in Fulton, KY. He was an electrician and had worked for Houston Barge Lines and General Tire Company. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a veteran having served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuba Missle Crisis. He was aboard the USS WASP Air Craft Carrier.
He is survived by his wife- Ruth Ann (Holcomb) Cooley of Clinton, KY;2 sons and daughter in laws: Mike & Tammy Cooley of Union City, TN & Steve and Alley Cooley of Nebraska City, Nebraska and a daughter - Angela Carol Elliott of Atlanta, GA and 5 step children. 6 grandchildren:
Kevin Elliott & Katie Elliott - both of Atlanta, GA; Brent Cooley & Blake Cooley, both of Union City, TN and Joel Cooley & Amanda Cooley both of Nebraska City, Nebraska. Also 9 step grandchildren and 8 step great
grandchildren. A brother and sister in law : John & Darlene Cooley of Lakeview, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents- Robert Foy Cooley and Edith Lorene (Brann) Cooley and 2 brothers.
Funeral services for Mr. Ted Cooley will be held at 1 pm Wednesday (2/21/07) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wells Ave. in Fulton,KY.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8 on Tuesday. Mr. Cooley will lie in state at the church from 12 noon on Wedneday until the funeral hour.
