Mr. Thomas H. Allen died April 8, 2010 at the Sherwood Manor in Baton Rogue, Louisiana.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton, KY and the Stage Sunday School Class. He was a 1930 graduate of Fulton High School and he attended the University of Kentucky. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II and was a conductor for the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 40 years. He was
also a member of the American Legion Post # 72.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law Charles M. & Mary
Allen of Puryear, TN , a daughter and son in law Carolyn & Eugene Dunavant of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 3 grandchildren
Jeffrey M. Allen of Puryear, TN, Ambre DeVirgilio and husband Louie of Long Island, NY and Chris Dunavant and his fiance Devienne Yarbrough, both of Baton Rogue, LA, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Florence (Counce) Allen,
his parents Mary (Thompson) and Thomas L. Allen, 2 sisters
Margaret Allen Johnson and Mary Zou Allen, 2 brothers
Charles E. Allen and Jack T. Allen.
Funeral services will be 10 am Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 pm and after 8 am Monday.
