Thomas D. "Smitty" Smith

November 19, 1944 — February 6, 2010

He was a member of the Smith Street Church of Christ. He was a retired Fire Chief for the city of South Fulton retiring in 2009 after 19 years of service. He had lived in this area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Blanton Smith to whom he married
October 19, 1968, a son, Brian Smith of South Fulton, TN., and a niece, Kim Becker of Pacific, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas "Red" and Vera Lee (Serratt) Smith, and a sister, Wanda Tibbs.

Services for Mr. Thomas D. "Smitty" Smith will be held at 2PM Monday, February 8, 2010, in our funeral chapel. Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8PM Sunday and anytime after 8AM Monday until the funeral hour.
