Virginia L. Rogers

February 15, 1908 — November 26, 2007

Mrs. Rogers died Monday morning at the Haws Memorial Nursing Home where she was a resident.

She was one of the oldest members of the Fulton Cumberland
Presbyterian Church and she was a homemaker. She had lived
most of her life in the Fulton/ South Fulton area. She was an avid golfer and won several golf tournaments. She was a member of Fulton Country Club for over 50 years.

She is survived by a sister - Ruby Taylor of Fulton, KY; 2 nieces:Frances Drabek of Rice Lake, Wisconsin and Betty Livingston of Jackson, TN. 6 nephews: Leroy Sawyer of South Fulton, TN, Charles Sawyer of Kennesaw, GA, Robert W. Bowden of Fulton,KY, Tommy Bowden of London, KY, Morris Taylor of Austin, TX and Phil Taylor of Huntsville,AL. Several great & great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Buren "Boots"
Rogers, her parents - Charlie Robert Alexander and Dora Lee (Copeland)Alexander & a sister - Frances Naomi Young.

Funeral services will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel at 11 am on Wednesday, Novemeber 28th and burial will be in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 am Wednesday until the funeral hour. Memorials may be made to the Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church - 1159 Parker Road, South Fulton, TN 38257.
