He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. He was retired
from the Illonis Central Gulf Railroad where he worked as a brakeman.He was a veteran of WWII serving in the army.He lived his life in South Fulton, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years whom he married June 12, 1947, Dorothy Kupfer Tegethoff. 1 daughter- Susan Hall of Union City TN.4 grandchildren- Kim Jackson of Fulton KY, Courtney Pair of South Fulton TN, Laura Houge of Huntsville AL, and Troy Stokes of Fulton KY. 1 sister -Frances Holland of St.Louis MO. 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Jones. A daughter Aletha Slayden and a brother L.W. Jones .
Funeral services for Mr. Tegethoff will be held at 2 pm Monday in our funeral chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home at 11:00 Monday until the funeral hour.Burial will follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Bro. Ron Cox will officiate. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
