Mrs. Youna King Parks, age 94, of Tiptonville, TN passed away Friday, August
31, 2018 at the Diversicare of Fulton.
Mrs. Parks was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville where she was
in charge of the nursery for many years. She was a 65 year member of the
Eastern Star Troy Chapter #432 and was the last living member of the 1942
graduating class of Tiptonville High School. Youna worked for the former
Maxines Fashions in Union City, TN, she then worked for the Tiptonville
Public Library and wrote local columns for the Lake County Banner.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Roger) Jerman of Fulton, KY,
a son-in-law Ray Allison of Kissimmee, FL, her grandchildren; Chris (Ronda)
Crockett of Union City, TN, Jason (Tammy) Allison of Kissimmee, FL,
Scott (Joy) Crockett of Domincan Republic, Eric Allison of Tiptonville, TN,
Beth (Mark) Overton of Peoria, AZ, her great-grandchildren; Kayla, Kenley,
Kadie Allison, Aiden and Landon Crockett, two brothers; Jimmy King of
Tiptonville, TN and Richard (Charley) King of Jackson, TN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Parks, a daughter Donna
Allison, her parents Roy and Georgia Shanks King and two brothers;
Leroy King and Bobby King.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Tiptonville
with burial to follow in the Parks Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church from 11AM
Wednesday until the hour of service.
